I have my ring doorbell on a separate VLAN with other IoT things (thermostats, etc). It's all about the rules you use to separate the VLANs. I'm using pfSense and it's fairly easy.

For Inter-Vlan routing at switch level you need layer 3 switch. Your netgear is layer 2 switch, you would need your router to do the routing for vlans.
