What does the 'auto' checkbox in the clips viewing area of the web browser interface for BI do?

I don't mean this to sound like a reproach, but I found that after I read the help file, I knew what every bell and whistle did.

I believe it auto refreshes the clips if when new ones are created..I dont think this is mentioned in the help file.
