what microphone works with the Dahua camera? does it need a source of power or is it powered by the POE in the camera?

camera has a mic input that looks like it's 1/8 female jack but no where can I fin mic recommendations

The mic's above require 12VDC, if you have 802.3af/at POE there at the camera a splitter like this will provide the 12VDC for the mic from the POE.

I didn't have great luck with the above mic. When placed within a foot or two of the camera. (all you can do unless adding additional cable) I had feedback and noise. May have been just the mic I had, or the camera, or both. I picked up a cheap mic off ebay with a longer cord and it's been working great.

I am using 4 of these mics, with excellent results.
