So I got a dell optiplex 9020 off eBay the listing was for a 9020 8gig ram and for the i5 4570 . Well I got the computer and was checking it out and they sent me one with a i5 3570 not the 4570 as it was listed for. They said I could send it back but I really wanted to get this blue Iris machine up and running, so what would you do in the situation should I send it back or just take the 3570 cpu instead of the 4570 ? I’ll be running 10 to 11 camera’s at 15 fps @ 2688x1520 . I know the 4570 has better performance then the 3570 but will it be so much more performance to pack this thing up and send it back?

200.00 which is way more then I wanted to pay but they give me 1 day shipping with the price.
ask for a refund of a portion...it will cost them at least 50 for a round trip...
also the 9020 came with a 4th gen processor...so either they sent you a 9010 or someone messed with the processor...I wouldnt trust the latter...

Interesting on the case it says dell 9020 optiplex, I wonder if windows 10 could be reporting the wrong cpu in about area? I’m going to look around in the bios something isn’t right I’ll prob just send it back

Just wondering @fenderman how many 4mp cameras @ 15 fps could a i5 3570 handle ? I would want to stay under 60% cpu load. I’m goal is 10 camera’s

I have had the same thing happen to me from an ebay seller, but the seller was more than willing to refund or exchange for me. On the other hand, I bought a computer from craigslist that the poor woman didn't know what she had and I almost felt bad for letting her sell it to me. It was a dual Zeon tower with 128gb ram and 6 sas drives in a raid 6 config, with a SSD for OS. I only paid 250 for it. It is long outdated now, but I Hosted some killer RPGs from it back in the day.
