Hello,

Just wondering, for beefier systems, i.e. 16/32gb of ram.. how come BI will not utilise more ram? For example, i've got 16GB ram and 10 cameras... yet my RAM normally hovers around 1.9-2.2gb in BI?

Thanks!

I just rebuilt my BI system due to a hardware failure and noticed something interesting about RAM usage when I was playing musical parts between systems.

On a system with 64GB of RAM, BI used around 3.5GB. Same system reduced to 16GB of RAM, BI dropped to 1.5GB.

^^^ Interesting, very interesting. I'm running with 32GB and memory sits between 2.5 and 3.5GB

I'm ok
I have added RAM to the buffer to help on higher resolution cameras

Camera settings, video, configure, advanced, RX buffer.

It helps when packets get mixed up on the network.

Snap, got mine set to max 20MB, it can't hurt :) Only running 2MP cameras at the moment, will be adding some 4MP soon.
