I used to work in China back in 2015/16. I bought over there a camera+NVR without any knowledge of the region and language flags and compatibility. I ended up moving houses so they never got installed and I am close to that step now.

I tried to search and use serial decoder thread here but can't find a match.

Can anyone tell me if this NVR and 4 cameras have any way to work together and be in English? I have not connected anything yet.

Thanks!!!

is a Hikvision NVR, not sure if the gui menu includes english language. Normally the power supply accepts a wider range of international voltages/cycles (100~220, 50/60hz), just use the correct adapter (US). Previous ipcamtalk post include changing the firmware. Good luck

That is also my thoughts.
I was already thinking of getting a newer NVR but hoping to use the cameras...

But reading here appears the cameras are also region locked but possibly much more easy to swap to US versions? Or the cameras are also quite outdated?

Yeah, kind of dated at this point. They'll work but much better out there. And domes aren't the best outdoors.

If you just want something to have some cams up, then you should be able to make them work. If you want a good system, as above, sell and put the money toward something much better.
