All working fine, then no picture.

I can find the log in page but cannot log in, it reads the error in the pic below.

Does not show up in SADP, all hik and other Imporx/Huisun cams do.

Any Ideas?

I think by now we are well aware that Poe has been unreliable. If any of my give out I will just use that active poe splitter.

you are most likely seeing a cached version of the login page,
and it's unable to make contact when you try to submit/login.

try powering the cam with an external 12V power supply.
could be the PoE board croaked.

Or your wiring got funky, but if it was working previously, that's less likely,
You can test that by trying a different cable...

I'm betting the first, as I've seen this error too several times, but nothing wrong with my cam. IIRC Firefox was doing this, but it eventually stopped.

could somebody have hacked into your camera and reset the password and locked you out?

Had you just made a change to any settings via the web gui? I have had both of my v2's experience this issue now. Mine are POE but tried using 12v directly and that did not help.

I can see them both with SADP. I tried the Huisun reset utility but had no luck - although this was kind of a crap shoot since I couldn't read any of the settings in the program and the "instructions" from the word doc were a little hard to comprehend.

I can access them at home using the ivms-4500 app on port 8000. I am also able to connect to them using https port 443 to my Dahua NVR but no ptz controls work.

I tried but have not been able to port forward to port 8000 with my actiontec 424 fios router.

Ok, I have tried and external power supply with no joy.

And yes it must have been a cached page in IE that I was looking at.

I made no changes before it went tits up.

Its now inside on my bench so its not a problem with the field cabling.

I have tried changing the sub net?? to 198.168.0.1 from 198.168.1.1 to see if it defaulted back to its default settings but SADP still cannot see it.

Both the POE light and the data light are iluminated on the switch's port.

I get no start up sequance.

Any ideas?

Thankyou.

I just had the same issue with my camera.

I tried to change the default IP from 192.168.0.99 to something else and it never stuck.

Literally about 10 tries and the last one worked.

Keep trying it. Clear your cache on your browser.

The tell for me was the default IP was not populated in the IP address text box on the configuration page. on the final try, it was there and i was able to save and get to the camera from the new IP.

the only thing I can think of is on the 10th try, i allowed the camera to download and install the active x player it was attempting to install to view live video. once i did that i played around with the camera a bit (zooming in and out, moving the camera around with the controls, etc) and then tried the IP address again and it worked.

I powered the camera from a 12v external power supply to do this - as was recommended by most everybody here.

now the camera works and I've got a second one on order.

That was a different issue, which I had when it was new.

This is a complete failure.

Your router must have ip 192.168.0.1
and ip camera default is 192.168.0.99

Bit worrying seeing as I now have one of these!

Thinking outside of the box here: Do you have a Hikvision NVR to test it on?

Same here, I have 5 and the only problem is the night vision on the V2 4X. I have 2 each of the V1 3X and V2 10X and all 4 working great.

direct to cam from pc? try using a switch in between.
with no switch, the cam and/or PC tend to 'flap' the network connection up & down.

then again, with no startup dance on the mini-ptz,
it's either not getting power or its really just dead.

that would suck, but may just be the reality of it at this point... sorry.
