Amid explosive demand, America is running out of power

"Vast swaths of the United States are at risk of running short of power as electricity-hungry data centers and clean-technology factories proliferate around the country, leaving utilities and regulators grasping for credible plans to expand the nation’s creaking power grid."

H'mm, nothing in that summary sentence about the zero emission electric cars.

From '73 to '04 I labored in a field that worked closely with the local power company in 2 states, one in CA and 1 in GA, to establish electrical service points for traffic signals, street lighting and municipal buildings. From the start it was a race to see if the demand could exceed the supply.

Since the beginning and in almost 50 years I have NEVER been aware of a genuine, organized and successful effort to even start increasing our electrical grids' capacity, reliability and security. All I've seen and heard is talk, posturing, and the forming of new government offices with fat budgets and employees with equally fat asses from perpetual sitting.

To promote any product or methods, including so-call "green" alternatives that impose more burden upon our electrical grid as it exists and either ignore its current shortcomings and/or not plan and improve in advance to be able to support those products and methods with dependable and reasonbly-priced electric power is stupid, irresponsible and downright dangerous. :headbang::mad:

Owners should park outdoors and away from structures or other vehicles until the free fix is available and complete

I don't get the fire angle for EV's, ICE vehicles burn down way more often per count of vehicle

I don't know if that statement is true or not, and that doesn't matter for my comment, which is that the media and propagandists run with whatever sticks to wall after they throw it. A recent example is all of the media articles that blame Boeing for incidents where the cause has nothing at all to do with Boeing. About a week and a half ago an Airbus parking at the gate at Sea-Tac caught fire and the passengers evacuated on slides. Not a peep of that in the national media, but if it was a Boeing plane it would have been the lead headline all over the country.

Oh, yeah...nothing but the sound of crickets if it's not the "media-frenzy du jour". :headbang::lmao:

I've lived a great life, compliments of automobiles! I had a lot of those certifications that
didn't do a thing except clog a drawer. The only thing I worried about is not getting buried
with too much and too deep!

I have NEVER seen so many people willing to cut off their nose in spite of their face!
The Bible said "They would be blinded" but, I did not think it would be so obvious.
