You can manually load the new formware on the doorbell. Upgrade with SD Card: Put the new firmware (‘digicap.dav’ file) into SD card root directory, insert card to Wi-Fi door bell, restart device, device will automatically upgrade and reboot.

Have you tried deleting the device, close the HiK connect app, then open the app and adding the device? You will go thru the process and have to input the verification code just like the initial setup. geo

My doorbells, Uniden DB1, both record when the internet is down. I don't get notifications nor can I access the doorbell recordings until the router comes back on. I have separate modem and router. If they are combined, you might not have access.
