Looks Like Internet Explorer Died Today

My Windows 10 Edge settings do not look like yours although they used to. This is the update I received that likely changed it: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/february-14-2023-kb5022834-os-builds-19042-2604-19044-2604-and-19045-2604-ffb56254-3fee-44f1-9574-b8a0c19bde77

Looks Like Internet Explorer Died Today

I read an MS announcement a couple of months ago that said IE would be removed from many Windows versions on February 15th with an update. Today loading IE, I got a message saying IE had been deleted and instructions on using Edge with IE mode.

If not using it, try using curl digest authentication for http. The camera requires digest. I don't use curl, but here's a possible example. curl --digest --user daniel:secret And your URL

    Alternative to DMSS?

@Soundchasrv I think an android/ios app that is much better and intuitive than DMSS is Amcrest View Pro(AVP). It will work with an Amcrest or Dahua NVR. But Amcrest and Dahua have different P2P servers, so AVP with Dahua NVR would need to use a VPN as mentioned for BI. AVP will work with a...

House under construction - temporary camera?

You need to enable P2P in your camera and make sure it says online. It will use a Dahua P2P server to setup a connection to DMSS or SmartPSS. The video stream does not go to the server. In DMSS or SmartPSS, add your camera using P2P (camera serial #). I've used P2P for years on some...

I think this is a Coyote in my backyard this morning. I have not seen it before. Guess I need to increase exposure time to get it a little clearer.

Wifi nest box cam to CCTV NVR - can it be done?

He said his owl box camera is being recorded on his NVR now, and he can he can view all four cameras on his phone. He can't view owl box cam on PC, likely using the the link he provided that is e-seenet.com. I was just describing another way to view cams on PC that is detailed in the user...

Wifi nest box cam to CCTV NVR - can it be done?

You wrote "What do I need to do to get the NVR to display the owl box camera feed." If you haven't tried it... Try this to see if you see all your NVR camera video streams on PC: Find your NVR IP address. If it is on the same network as your Windows PC, then enter the NVR IP address in the...

A lot of false positive motion detections on an Amcrest camera

@antonpuz wrote: ... "3. Other than switching to 3.6mm lens camera, what else can I do to improve motion detection?" --------- I think you may be able to improve your motion detection with reduced false detections. The two attached pics are using a IP5M-T1179E. On PC or tablet locally, put...

Streaming outdoor cam via wifi -- where do I start?

Another option if you don't think wifi will work is a powerline adapter, that I don't think has been mentioned. An example is the TP-LINK AV-1000.

Streaming outdoor cam via wifi -- where do I start?

@RedShirt This may be of interest to you. There is a free way to allow viewing of a bird feeder with rtsp.me from a webpage or browser. The free part lasts for ten minutes before you have to restart it, which I think is OK for many. An example is the birdcam at Terri Underhill's page...

How To Share Recording From NVR To Upload To Email Or Youtube?

Use SmartPSS to Playback your NVR camera, and then download a motion detect event, or use the scissors icon to define a clip and download it. Then you will have a mp4 file on your PC that you can send to youtube or attach to an email.

    Detecting wildlife with Dahua cameras

I contacted Camect and they said Camect Go(the "service") is required to use Camect Viewer with IOS or android, remote and local. The PWA or Web UI does not require Camect Go for local access. @Don't Look Up, you may have the "Service" and not know it. @tigerwillow1 Sorry, I will stop...

    Detecting wildlife with Dahua cameras

I think that would best be answered by a question at camect.com/contact, or at the camect forum. They are quite responsive. I have the service. There is Camect API with some implementations available but I have not used it.

    Detecting wildlife with Dahua cameras

MIke A., A Camect hub does not cost $500 annually. The website says it costs $399 which includes 2 months of service. Service primarily provides secure remote access to hub, and alerts. If additional service is not needed, there is no further cost. Continuing service is $10/mo, or $99/yr, etc.
