Tool annotate, highlight and extract objects/faces and investigate footage

Hi All, I am looking for a tool I can use annotate, extract and highlight objects and faces and do overall footage investigation to give to law enforcement. I need to do some of the police work before I give the footage to them or else it don't help them act faster. Any suggestion would be...

    Blue Iris Vlan on ubiquiti

Having a VLAN alone doesn't necessarily make it more secure, you have to have the cameras on a completely separate IP network and only allow traffic in and out of that network that is essential for you to access what is there and from hosts/places that are trusted. Your USG has multiple ports so...

Sentry Person and loitering recognition, Vehicle detection & identification, + Price increase

Man you are tripping, I am being polite here trying to explain it to you and you keep talking this nonsense. And then suggesting I can't read. Think before you speak, I am not here to argue with you about the fact you think you know more than everyone else. I solve problems and you seem to be...

Looks like I know what I am talking about... maybe you should think twice before saying to people they know nothing.

Sentry Person and loitering recognition, Vehicle detection & identification, + Price increase

Thanks Sam. I have put a strategy together to use with Amazon Rekognition at a price point that I would be happy to pay and some conditional rules that would prevent or reduce the images being sent if a known person is found in the frame. Happy to discuss. Sentry has been very important in a...

Does anyone know if this company still exists? I haven't been able to find them anymore for a while.

Sentry Person and loitering recognition, Vehicle detection & identification, + Price increase

I actually do know how much it would cost to put some integration together with rekognition and how much it would cost to use the rekognition as a service too. I have done the proof of concept already. I just dont want to do and maintain it myself, I want to pay for someone's service hence I am...

You keep taking what I say out of the context, I never said sentry should do this if they did they wouldn't exist. I said to you in another reply BI should, I can, other tools can.... keep the context please. I was suggesting alternatives. I am trying to solve a problem here so please don't be...

There is one more important more, the post you linked here talks about more images for accuracy. While accuracy is very important, if your coverage is only a second then it doesn't matter how accurate your detection is. My idea to send an image to Rekognition every few seconds would solve this...

Sentry Person and loitering recognition, Vehicle detection & identification, + Price increase

Just because they stated it doesn't mean they are in fact doing it right now. The point here isn't if am right or if you are right about this. The key point here is that Sentry alerts can be easily circumvented and alerts cab be easily missed and this my friend I have tested extensively and...

Sentry Person and loitering recognition, Vehicle detection & identification, + Price increase

This post is from a month ago or so, maybe the very latest version of BI is doing this. But it is still not good enough, I would want to have it take the messages that I would get in my email, say one every second for 3 seconds or maybe for 5 seconds. Maybe even two a second. I suggested all...

Sentry Person and loitering recognition, Vehicle detection & identification, + Price increase

And you know that because you have been here with me when I was testing, come on! If I trigger the camera and then enter the frame a second after then I am missed, so if I send a football in then I walk in the frame I get no sentry notification. I have tested this extensively to find when...

Sentry Person and loitering recognition, Vehicle detection & identification, + Price increase

I can only be a certain as the information I have gathered from testing and reading, including what they have told me. I would put money on the fact they dont analyse more than on image right now. We should get Sam from sentry to confirm this. @varghesesa can you please clarify this? @SentryAI

I didn't say I was getting email alerts from sentry, BI sends the image to it for processing and then sentry responds to it and only after this BI makes a decision to alert or not. The email comes from BI using the email server I set it up to use.

BI CPU usage increases gradually after the process starts

The sub streams are recording constantly, there is no motion or alerting of any kind there. The main streams are only recorded on motion. The sub streams are basically another camera whch I should have added to the list i gave before.

Sentry Person and loitering recognition, Vehicle detection & identification, + Price increase

You misunderstood me, the images in the email a single email are 7 seconds apart. They should be a second apart, their time stamp show it clearly. It takes sentry 7 seconds on average to respond so that BI can continue. They have said to me they would analyse more images but I haven’t seen this...

First I think the documentation says so. But then when I get email alerts i get a pre motion image and then another 3 images one every second. The first of the three images is the trigger image, if I manage to avoid being in that one Sentry won’t see me, I have tested it. This image also has a...

    VIP Vision feedback

Sorry don’t know who Andy is. Or is the the guy that sells VIP Vision in Australia? My area of expertise is information security, when we respond to incidents it has be easy for us to find the info we need to respond appropriately. Many of the NVRs I have seen were almost like a toy tool...

    VIP Vision feedback

I was referring to the NVR not the camera sorry. I don’t mind a camera with an ugly interface if it’s functional but the NVR is a different story. If it were there purely to record it would be ok, but when I need to respond to an incident the and need to browse through footage from many cameras...

BI CPU usage increases gradually after the process starts

I have 7 cameras, three are 5mp, one is 4mp, 2 are one pm and one camera is 2mp. I will collect the rest of the info. Thanks for the offer to help. I have a hunch that it could have started after I added sub streams from two cameras to record continuously. These sub streams are 1mp and the...

Sentry Person and loitering recognition, Vehicle detection & identification, + Price increase

It’s quite obvious, it takes about 7 seconds for the image to be analysed. And the image that comes back is smaller than the images I am including in my email alerts. I started questioning them on this a while back because the window of detection is very small and can easily be circumvented. I...

BI CPU usage increases gradually after the process starts

Hi all, I am experiencing a strange thing here. I have a well tuned BI deployment which uses about 30-35% cpu when things are quiet, like in the middle of the night. No motion, no recording. What I have noticed is that over the course of a week or so the cpu usage gradually increases for no...
