Connect Dahua wireless A46 to Dahua NVR via Orbi

I had to install an Orbi mesh system to extend the wifi in our home. I can easily connect the indoor wireless Dahua A46 cams and view them from the Imou app, but my NVR5208-8P-4KS2E will not find the cameras. I am a network novice ,but I believe it is because my NVR is connected to one router...

Thanks! I will downgrade and see if this solves the IVS issue. Andy sent me a few other older revisions to try as well.

IPC-T5442TM-AS Auto IR bug fixed firmware 20190930

@Arjun Where can I download that firmware? The factory reset on my camera only brought it back to July.

IPC-T5442TM-AS Auto IR bug fixed firmware 20190930

@EMPIRETECANDY The old version of the firmware does not work either. The IVS features and AI are completely inoperable on my cameras. I have a camera on the September firmware and the July firmware and neither work. I hope they resolve this soon since for me, the cameras are not working as...

IPC-T5442TM-AS Auto IR bug fixed firmware 20190930

I have tried defaulting the camera and setting parameters there as well as on the NVR and combinations of both. The lines are there on the screen and everything is active, recording is on etc but there is no response to intrusion or tripwire as you walk through. Could be a combo of the NVR...

IPC-T5442TM-AS Auto IR bug fixed firmware 20190930

If it helps, I put in many days of research trying to figure out why none of the AI or IVS features work on my new cameras. At this point I have given up and will try the new firmware once released. In my case, the features look as if they are implemented but neither Smart Plan creates an alert...

IPC-T5442TM-AS Auto IR bug fixed firmware 20190930

I tried most of yesterday to get the IVS tripwire and intrusion working. No luck at all. I have one camera running the July firmware and another running he Sept 30 firmware. I have the smart plan set to IVS, simple intrusion and trip wires set for both and neither work. My NVR5208-8P-4KS2E...

    Dahua NVR5216-16P-I

@Steveee I think my mistake with the browser was my computer defaults to Edge. Is there a link to the plug-in required? I am lost as to how you downloaded the plugin when connected to a spare POE port. You were spot on with turning off IVS - that allows me to select Face Detection in the Smart...

IPC-T5442TM-AS Auto IR bug fixed firmware 20190930

I am still super new to all of this but what about this firmware as a roll back? AI 4.0 latest new firmware General_IPC-HX4XXX-Volt_Eng_NP_Stream3_V2.800.0000000.1.R.190706.bin

    Dahua NVR5216-16P-I

@Steveee Thanks for the screen captures. I noticed a few things as I ran through my web interface. 1. Face Detection is ghosted on my Smart Plan 2. I do not have a "Type" Drop down in the IVS menu (Your setup shows AI From Camera) Mine looks like this: 3. You mentioned in your post that you...

Image not showing up in SmartPSS IVS setup screen

Thought I would add to this issue. Playback feature in the web service behaves the same way. Any thoughts? Web Service seems to offer more ability to access the admin NVR details than Smart PSS.

Image not showing up in SmartPSS IVS setup screen

I used the weblink to access the web service login from Smart PSS. When I go to the IVS section to adjust a rule, the image feed never shows up. I just see the rotating circle. Any ideas?

IPC-T5442TM-AS Auto IR bug fixed firmware 20190930

Total noob here, but I just posted a question wondering if turning motion detect on shut IVS off. Sounds like it might be the upgraded firmware I installed over the weekend. How do I downgrade and what version should I downgrade to? Thanks

Does Motion Detect cancel IVS features?

I recently purchased a NVR5208-8P-4KS2E & several IPC-T5442TM-AS Starlite+ cameras. I got everything up and running, including the email notifications. I have a few questions regarding the Motion Detect, IVS and image capture. I am getting bombarded with motion detection alarms which I...

Dahua NVR HDMI output has purple hue and lines

Just to close this thread down, it was the resolution setting of the NVR vs the monitor I was using. Simple fix. Thanks for the help! I now have a ton of questions regarding IVS and Motion Detect. Will start a new thread. Bill

Dahua NVR HDMI output has purple hue and lines

Thanks. I tried a third cable after posting and still had the issue. I think it might be an issue with the video output on the board. When the NVR boots up and displays NVR on the screen there are no purple lines but once the grid for the camera display comes on the screen blinks and the lines...

Dahua NVR HDMI output has purple hue and lines

Just received my Dahua NVR from Andy. Installed the HDD and booted up to a screen with purple and green vertical lines. I changed the HDMI cable and the issue remains. Any ideas?

    Lorex vs Dahua learning curve

Thanks for the responses and the support. There is no comparison from what I see on this forum with the quality of the starlight cameras. I own a business in portrait imaging so I completely understand the advantages of a larger chip with great sensitivity vs the megapixel race. I also like the...

    Lorex vs Dahua learning curve

The setup that Andy quoted would run between $1200-$1500 depending on which cameras I get. The Lorex system I am looking at will be between $800-$1100. Not a huge price difference and the quality of the Dahua cameras seems much better. It’s a small system with only 4-6 cameras. Just super...

    Lorex vs Dahua learning curve

Complete novice here. Stumbled on this forum over the weekend and got some great pricing from Andy on the Dahua equipment. After reading through the cliff notes and the Wiki, it seems that you need some solid networking experience to setup remote monitoring and keep your network safe. This is...
