IPC-HDW2231R-ZS 2MP Starlight - No Main Video Feed

I have been running this camera since 2009 with BI. I recently switched it to a different location on my house and it seemed to work fine, but I noticed recently that the IR isn't working at night. When I go into the camera config from a web browser I am not getting any video on the main feed...

    System Stopped Working

It was the BV-Tech 9 Port PoE+ switch that died. After reading several recent reviews on Amazon it appears that after 18-24 months this switch stops working. The PoE work, everything appears to work, but there is no network to the cameras. I purchased the Amcrest 8-Port POE+ 96w...

    System Stopped Working

I tried the extra laptop and that still doesn't work. I did find that I have the following PoE injector (https://www.amazon.com/TP-Link-Passive-Injector-Ethernet-Supports/dp/B07KJB712X/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=tp-link+24V+1A+Passive+PoE+Adapter&qid=1635813196&sr=8-3) but this is a 24v...

    System Stopped Working

They do have unique static IP's. Powering them separately may be a bit difficult as they are tucked in the attic, under the house eve's. I can certainly try to get at them, but that will likely be my only option I guess to understand if the PoE is really working or not.

    System Stopped Working

I have been running my camera system for 2 years and a few days ago I am no longer communicating with any of my cameras. I am thinking it's the POE switch, but hate to throw down $60 for a new switch to find out that isn't the issue. I am running windows 10 with two ethernet ports, one to my...

Motion Detection Via Cameras for BI?

I have a Hikvison IPC-T2385G-I and Dahua IPC-HDW2231R-ZS running on Blue Iris. My system is set up and running and stable, now I am ready to tune the motion detection. Right now I am getting alerts based on the BI settings in the trigger menu for each camera. I would like to get more refined...

Getting Intel Quick Sync to work with Blue Iris (Settings & Troubleshooting)

I have followed the above instructions, but two of my cameras will not accept "Default" or "Intel" when I put them into "Hardware Acceleration Decode". I am able to switch them to default or intel, but as soon as the camera cycles the change, they revert to No in the selection. My third camera...

    Review-Dahua IPC-HDW2231RP-ZS Starlight Camera-Varifocal

When configuring this camera in Blue Iris 5, should you just use Generic/ONVIF for the make and RTSP H.264/h.265/MJPG/MPEG4 for the model or is there something better to use?

App Not Connecting After Server Migration

Figured out the issue. The new laptop's firewall was blocking BI. It's all fixed now, but have to remember to check in the future.

App Not Connecting After Server Migration

I moved my BI server to a laptop today and everything is working on the laptop side of things. When I try and connect my BI app I am getting an "Unable to make connection: check server address". What is interesting is if I open up BI on my old server (it will run in demo mode for a couple of...

Keeping IP Cameras off the Internet

Thanks so much. I tried finding this option last night, but kept hitting the view list button and didn't see a block access from that list. You have to click the button above the view list, this is what I was missing.

Keeping IP Cameras off the Internet

I have two Reolink cameras connected to my POE, which is in turn connected to my switch. That switch then goes into my Asus RT-AC68P router. I have Blue Iris configured and working and I have OpenVPN working to remotely view my cameras. I put the cameras on a static IP address and now want to...

    Setting up Network Properly

Sorry, one other question on the OpenVPN setup. Is it wise to change the default server port from 1194 to something else and if something else, is there a range to use?

    Setting up Network Properly

The ooma VoIP box was the issue. I now have a DDNS server registered. I will try and figure out how to get my ooma box routed back into my system at a later date I guess.

    Setting up Network Properly

My provider is my local city, so "Town ABC" Power and Water. They provide water, cable, and internet and outside of century link wireless, are the only provider in this area. I just went down and relooked at how I have everything hooked up and realized that I have an OOMA VoIP box in between...

    Setting up Network Properly

The IP address that shows on the home page of my router is different than what shows up on the "what is my IP address" site. Any reason as to why? Is there a way around needing a static IP address in order to get a DDNS server set up so I can use Asus OpenVPN to view my cameras?

    Setting up Network Properly

I have been reading a lot of the threads on setting up a Power BI/POE system and am stuck at setting up the LAN security and DDNS server so I can access my cameras off my home network. My incoming network is via an ISP, into a cable modem that goes into my Asus RT-AC68P router. I am unable to...
