So I haven;t looked in on this thread for over a year.
What's the latest? Is the Dahua starlight still the killer for the price?
Are there newer/cheaper versions?
And WHEN will people start doing REAL tests with the camera, like reading 150 point text in both day and night at 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 feet, to see where the limitations of a camera really start to show?
for instance.
This should be a standard format for camera testing.
(This was a test with the passable, mid quality Nest outdoor camera, which I will gladly ditch for a better IP camera)
My theory being that unless a camera, mounted on your house somewhere, can read License plates, then why spend a bunch of money?
Thanks!
