Hey!

Does anyone know how to properly set up PIR Alarm on the DS-2CD2432F-IW so that my Synology NAS records when the alarm triggers?
I have enabled PIR Alarm in the "other alarm" settings.
Notify Surveillance center is checked
I have tried checking other options but that does not work.

In synology I have tried to set up the camera both as DS-2CD2432F-IW and a generic ONVIF (I get more options with ONVIF)
Motion detection is set to "by camera"

I have tested the send email in the camera settings and that does work.

Synology SS would have to 'know' about the smart events that the camera produces for you to be able to configure it to take any associated actions.
You can tell whether it does or not by the range of events that SS lists in the event configuration dialogues so you can configure suitable corresponding actions.

I suspect that it will be the same limitation as QNAP Surveillance Station, where for Hikvision cameras the model can only create actions for 'motion events' or 'video loss'.
The smart events of line crossing detection, intrusion detection, PIR detection etc etc are simply not covered by the design of Surveillance Station, they are invisible to it.
