Encoding VersionV7.1 build 150801
Serial No.DS-2CD2135F-IS20151108AACH

I have the above camera, units clock keeps freezing and the nvr stops recording the cam(nvr continues to record the other cams as It should)
The cam is still accessible and viewable from web interface when clock freezes.

I have tried factory reset and it still freezes after a few days. if I reboot the cam it also works for a few days.

I have another unit with sdcard only and it works fine (older firmware)

Not really - even with access to the serial console the command shell is psh, which has no suitable commands to do that.

ok contacted supplier best he could do was supply 5.2.5 English firmware and it may not have worked.

I have been messing around with the config of the cam and nvr

I have set the protocol to onvif on the nvr and the cam has worked for the last 3 days.

my nvr is a hik DS-7604NI-E1 / 4P V3.4.0 build 150929

What are the drawbacks of running it as onvif rather than hikvision protocol?

Trouble is I am unable to get mult-language 5.3.3 firmware for Chinese camera.

the cam has 5.3.3 on it, but supplier is unable to supply 5.3.3 Multilanguage firmware.

Again I have hooked another one of these up to NVR with same firmware and it locks up on the hikvision protocol but seems to work fine on onvif
