We had a power failure, now one of my DS-2CD2532F-I(S) cameras won't power up. The PoE switch was on a surge protector and UPS. The other 9 cameras are working and the PoE port on the switch is still working (tested by moving another camera to it).

Any suggestions to bring it back to life?

did you ADD any cams to the poe switch recently?
if so, could be you're over the total power budget for the switch.

otherwise, try powering the cam directly with a 12v ps at the camera to test it.

You could try to power it up with an AC adapter. If POE is fried on the camera, I'm not sure there's much you can do about that. I fried one of my hik's by incorrectly wiring an Ethernet end and the whole camera was toast. I wish there was something Hik could do in the circuitry to protect against small power events.

I am not using my power budget, I think I have a 200w budget and only 5 cams on the switch pulling about 1/10th of that. I am not sure if this model can be powered by an AC adapter, but will check.

This morning it started working again. Below is the firmware info

I looked to see if any errors were logged for operational, etc and there aren't any. Any suggestions?
