Hikvision ip camera to two nvr

Morning genius. Got a problem, I have two hik nvr’s. One with 16cha ports and one with 8ch. 16 cameras are connected directly to 16ch nvrs port. I would like 8 cams to record on 2nd NVR as backup. Is their any way I can record them without switch? Both Nvrs are connected to router. Thanks in advance. Have a good day

Model numbers of your NVR’s would help... if the second one is an I series, then it’s really easy. On the second NVR, (8 channel) go into camera setup and setup like you normally would except you use the IP address of the first NVR as the cameras address, and the user/password of the NVR. When you hit save, it will recognize that it’s an NVR and ask you to select what channels you want to record.
