Newbie here and just installed Hikvision. I have 4 Cameras and 1x HDD 4TB. I plan to use the single HDD to store video for cameras 1TB each. I created folders: Folder1, Folder2, Folder3, Folder4 for each camera. I have set up camera #1 (via its web console) to save the video to NAS (TrueNAS) via SMB/CIFS protocol.

When formatting the HDD, I noticed the camera puts bunch of directories and files into Folder1. The rest of the folders remain untouched.

I haven't done anything with the rest of the cams. But my question is:
What will happen with Camera2, 3 and 4; how are they going to get dedicated 1TB space for each of them? I cannot find anywhere in the console to limit folder or camera to save up to 1TB.

You installed Hikvision for what? for Windows? an NVR?
Let the default storage settings handle the storage sharing.
You maybe be overthinking this.

I installed iVMS-4200 in windows 10 for management and live viewing purpose; And I store the video in NAS. Yes I may be overthinking and been confuse with how iVMS works.
