Hello,

I understand the safety issues with port forwarding, so I won't use it.

Currently to display my IP Cam (IPC-B5442E-ZE from EmpireTech Andy) image on my weather related website (SandPointWeather.com) I use IPTimelapse to FTP a snapshot up to my shared hosting account, then display the uploaded image on my webpage. The image is captured and upload every minute and in the webpage code I use a small script to refresh image every minute.

This has worked fine for years but now I would like to display video.

What options do I have to access the camera from a shared hosting account? I do have a VPN setup to access my home network, remotely from my cell phone and laptop. But how can I use a VPN to interface with a hosting service? What other options are there?

Note, I have/use both IPTimelapse and Blue Iris.

Another separate but related question...

For the IP cam image uploaded to my website, IPTimelapse also overlays each image with the contents of a text file generated every minute by my weather station software. Can Blue Iris perform this function? I have no issues with IPTimelapse, but if Blue Iris can do it, I would like to learn more about it.

Thanks for your halp
Dennis
