My new PTZ SD49425XB-HNR camera will take commands from my controller software.
The controller software is its own tracker detection. I know that it is suppose to be compatible with ovnifptz.
I am very new to some of this stuff and really do not understand it all.
The SD49425XB-HNR camera states its ptz protocol is DH-SD Pelco-P/D (auto recognition).
I cannot find any explanations of this.. I know Pelco makes big P&T's..
thanks

Someone jump in and correct me, but this is a left over from some of the models which have a 485 interface as they will let you control them via 485 telem, be it dahua protocol or Pelco.
The wires for 485 might not be fitted to this model, but there is a good chance it's still exposed on the PCB.

Dont believe it's possible to fire pelco over IP to a waiting port but would be interested to hear otherwise.
So you use ONVIF for PTZ control instead.

Thanks Dave... I got straightened out on my control issue. ONVIF PTZ is now working correctly.
I had entered the wrong information into my PTZ controller and was just chasing my own tail around for a while...
