hey all. I replaced an older Hikavision with an Annke FDC 600 in Blue Iris and it's working fine. the only thing is now my CPU is running super high after about 15 minutes from startup of the app. I have FPS set at 10 both at the camera and in BI, but it's still running high. Are you guys seeing this and/or have any advice on what to check?

Previous CPU load was around 60%. Now it hits 90%+ within an hour.

Support data:
Version: Release 5.7.7.18 x64 (6/28/2023)
Maintenance: Extended
Expires: 5/26/2024
OS: Windows 10 Pro
CPU,GPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4590 CPU @ 3.30GHz [93%,5%]
RAM: 2.47G/15.8G
Clips: 1041 items, 49.4G/60.0G
Storage: C: +126.9G, H: +1.77T

Here's the settings:

As I mentioned in your other post, you are not using substreams.

And now that I see that you have a 4th Gen CPU it is imperative you use the substreams as this is a higher MP camera.

If you have not done so, I would encourage you to do every step in the optimization wiki

I would also make the receive buffer 40MB.

A 4th generation can still be a great computer if you follow this.

@wittaj ... thanks for advice. Saw that in the other thread, but Fenderman asked me to post here.

I'll work through this... I did the optimizations, but it was years ago and I haven't looked back.

@TonyR ... ugh. thanks. Hate when I miss that.

Another most never use or follow. CLOSE the BI GUI when not directly watching clips or looking at real time cams. Check run BI as a windoze service and restart machine. BI runs in the background as a service. Just closing the GUI can and will save a lot of cpu and electricity. Using subs is a must. Closing the BI GUI is a close second must do.
I've automated closing the Blue Iris GUI (app) if I've inadvertently left it running.
