I type in 192.168.1.108:8040 and nothing happens. The Dlink camera is working and I can access it thru Dlink.
But i want to access it using the IP number of the camera. What am i missing? I have a No_ip address and it works too , and i can connect to the camera. But I need to access using the IP and port number.

thanks

If you're in Michigan, and you're trying to access your camera in Florida by typing in a 192.x.x.x number, it's never going to happen. If you've forwarded the port on your router in Florida, then... in Michigan, you'd need to enter the WAN address of the LAN in Florida along with the port number...

the IP address is going to be your Florida routers IP.. but ideally in this situation you should be operating a point-to-point VPN Tunnel..

I logged into the router and noticed the ip number on the port forward was not the exact as the camera, i changed the 2 digits and now its working, don't know why those numbers changed but anyway its fixed
