But that clip did not link the two; Scottish culture and Black and Southern White America. The Scottish culture got here to America, in the South, before they were heavily influenced back in Europe by English.
So as much as some Southerners might not like it. The South was a bit behind the times so to speak.
That Scottish culture still exists today in Black America, imo regretfully. You can go to Compton California and listen to a Black person talk (or at least some anyway) and wonder if you are in a completely different State.
