New IPC-T5442T-ZE - Potential Firmware bug?

Hi everyone - just picked up a new New IPC-T5442T-ZE from the @EMPIRETECANDY Amazon store and seem to be having a weird issue. Went thru the setup of the camera just fine except for the admin account that I have added. It seems to not have the ability to change or even see any of the video settings in the web GUI. Only the built-in admin account seems to work. All I get on the video tab is what you see below. The dropdowns are all blank when you try to select. Current system version is V2.820.15OG001.0.R, Build Date: 2021-07-06.

Anyone see this behavior yet? Potential firmware problem? Tried multiple browsers with the same issue.
 
They work in mine.

You have been around long enough that I assume you are trying Explorer. And make sure it is actually explorer and that windows didn't switch it to edge on you without you realizing.

If still not working, then go to account tab and then the ONVIF tab and add your other users there and see if that fixes it.

Next option is a factory reset.
 
Call me skeptical, but it works in Chrome and Opera just fine as long as I use the admin account. If I use any other account, it has this issue. Added the ONVIF user as well during my initial setup. I think I see a factory reset coming :)

I was hoping someone else may have seen this behavior before. Weird.
 
You have all of the permissions set correctly for this new user? And yes use IE
 
Yep - all the perms the same. Tried IE, Chrome and Opera. All 3 behave the same way. If you notice too on the picture posted above, there are extra check boxes that are exposed (encryption password and authentication???) that are not there on the snapshot of the working snapshot logged in as the "admin" account. Weird, it's behaving like it is a permissions issue, but after 2 factory resets, setting up multiple accounts with different passwords, ONVIF users and checking multiple browsers, this smells like a firmware issue. What else could it be?

I have a bunch of other IPC-T5442T-ZEs that are setup exactly the same way. The only difference is this one is running the July 7, 2021 firmware. My older 5442s are running the May 2020 firmware.
 
I guess install the other firmware?

I seem to recall a similar issue when I was trying different SMD firmwares, but mine was at the beginning of the initialization where I couldn't even select the country. I ended up holding the reset until I heard the filter click 10 times before I got control.

Maybe try that? I do not remember which version that was but I think it was around that time.
 
Yeah - I guess that would be the next step in trying the older firmware. I sent a note to Andy to see if he's heard of any issues with the July 2021 firmware. Other than that, the camera performs perfectly, you just need to use the built-in "admin" account if you want to change any of the settings.
 
Maybe it's a new feature. :/ ? Which photo is the encryption password showing? default admin or created admin?
 
When I received a new 5442 cam with the 7/6/21 firmware, I tried to roll back firmware to the 12/3/20 version. I ran into a problem where it would not set the time zone for the camera. It was blank. That was with the default admin account. So I loaded the 7/29/21 version. Good luck, hope a new version for IVS comes out soon.

So no issues with the 7/29 version?
 
7/29 version worked for me, but I think IVS could be better. I always use the default admin account though. I could not roll back to the 7/6/21 version, because it is not posted anywhere. It just started showing up on newer cameras.

Couldn't find the 7/29 version so I grabbed the latest that @looney2ns had posted to the forum. Still believe there is something in the original firmware that's busted. Andy has a version of firmware dated 5/25/21 - may try that one too.

Well I was able to set it upon the initialization which I then follow up with setting my NTP server for time but now I can't seem to select it which is weird because I have another 5442 running that same firmware and it IS set.
