I had these cameras professional installed. I've found that the mount seems to be proprietary, in that the new cameras I have tried don't line up. Anyone have a fix?
Thanks

Just go to the local hardware store and buy a plastic generic square junction box and drill your own holes in them. I have done that with a few of my cams.

Both pix depict the cam mounted to the faceplate of the junction box. Remove the turret cam from the face plate, and your new cam might line up to some of the existing holes

It doesn't match up. I have a photo of that somewhere.

Think I found the camera number on a small bar code. Model AC316-fd4-2.8-g

I believe this is a Cantek camera. I'd like the same fit and color, but would be interested in a more weatherproof brand.

Thanks
Sean

Since that's an analog, HD-TVI cam, are you planning on replacing with the same tech?
If so, what is the diameter of the existing box that it was mounted to?

Not sure. But here are the measurements.
A cam no bigger than 6" dia. should not be too hard to find BUT are you not sure of the cam type (analog or IP) you want to replace them with?

And are you against replacing the boxes IF you find a camera you want?

I'd keep the junction box mounted and drill baby drill.
Just drill holes using your new cams hole pattern as a template.
Use some sheetmetal screws to secure it. I usually find the self-tapping sheetmetal screw heads are sometimes too large for the Chinese holes. So I end up looking around for screws of the same diameter with Small heads.

I have 4 cameras screwed into my brick and two into the cement siding, so I don't want to replace the boxes.

These cameras looked fine, so really just need anything that fits. I use a Hikivision 8 camera with coax connector.

I called the maker of Cantek cameras, Winik. They said this is the replacement version: CT-AC326-FD4G-2-8mm. 80 bucks ea.

Are you considering them?
In your post # 9 you said "...I'd like the same fit and color, but would be interested in a more weatherproof brand." :idk:
