Politicians have no other option but to blame global warming. Heck, if I were in charge of an area that was mismanaged and a fire took advantage of my foolishness, I'd be extremely tempted to shift blame on Gaia and all the pagans that haven't sacrificed to her.
This is why 100% of disasters are going to be attributed to global warming. It's either that, or admit proper preparations were not made and it cost dozens of lives.
I use to take the ferry from Bremerton to Seattle. To a young man from Lubbock Texas that didn't know shit about the world, Seattle was FREAK'N amazing. The cleanest China Town I had ever visited, the Fish Market was astounding, the park was amazing and the first time I had ever see rats the size of cats in my life!
It was such a fascinating city. Its a damn shame that liberalism has lobotomized it!
Portland used to be that way too, which is why Portlandia portrays a peaceful and "inclusive" place. They included the addicts, rapists, mentally disturbed, and lazy while excluding business and jobs. They'll fine you if you don't pay the parking meter or drive 10 over the speed limit, but pitch a tent on a sidewalk with a needle hanging out of your arm while menacing folks with a hammer, and you get "liberty".
My next door neighbor moved down from Portland because he was being required to observe crime and write reports instead of intervene.
