Bigredfish is as expert as they come for that NVR..

I think you got something screwy going on. The shop put you in bridge mode or something wacky.

Which is one one the many reasons why I suggested you factory reset it all (NVR and cameras) and start over.

just checking my logic not blaming , so i had green dot before i changed with pencil the pw that the nvr should expect the cam to have , but the cam has already been given that by the nvr .
i have a tvt nvr !?
 
I thought he DID factory default the NVR already?

You could try that from the NVR web interface

It will do two things that need to be turned off after you default
1- on the screen where the cameras are listed, turn off the switch that says something about H.65 Auto
2- turn off P2P under the Network tab
 
ok so tried on tvt nvr , didnt come up with picture, tried to change the password it seemed maybe to take it but when i pressed test , it said cam offline
could there be something up with the new cam .. how do i test that

above is after going into nvr proper & turning off p2p , but also before this i may have got the tvt nvr to change the cam pw , but then it stuck with a device not ready error

right walk me through exactly what i do here

oh shit really thought i was getting somewhere there , pw error , so will try again to delete thhat cam , then reset cam ?
 
I question whether you're actually getting a reset. But then again the indicator wouldnt be green if the pass was different

Hold it down for 60 full seconds while connected to the NVR
 
i have thought that & several times have done 65 secs , about 7 secs in it fiddles then another session but then silent up till 65th second.
leave added cam as is & just reset cam ?

i notice that as soon as i log into nvr via web , if i press refresh it forces me to log back in again , seconds after succeessful log in ... is that normal

pw error after it initialised itself
what i noticed is if you leave the reset button pressed , it seams to cycle again ie 8 secs in it jiggles inside , 35 secs in it jiggles again and so on
