Thank you all so much! Once I got home it only took a few minutes with the provided link to figure it out and get it working. The POE injector was at least enough to get it up and running.
Good catch. This one is only 24V. I bought it on Amazon a while back when my switch went down. It worked fine on one of my bullet cameras, but probably will not work for the 2231. Thanks

I can't seem to communicate with the camera at all, and I think it's because my computer ip is 192.168.2.*** and the camera is 192.168.1.108. The .2 and the .1 are screwing me up, but I don't know how to fix it.
Actually went out tonight to try it. I did get it reset, but the 3rd number comes back as .1 now as stated above and everything else is .2. Having connection settings.
I ran Dahua and the ip address has .86 for the third number, where the others is .2. The gateway is .86 as well. Don't know how to fix that. It won't let me in because of the PW (I think)
In the process of selling my house and I was trying to change the passwords on my ip cameras to something I could give the buyers. Even though I changed the PW on the IPC-HDW2231R-ZS, every time I cycled the power I ran into problems. I tried to do a factory reset from one of the config programs...
