Just to add to this discussion. I have noticed that the benefits of H.265 (no HW Decode) vs H.264 (HW Decode), such as smaller video clip sizes, far out weigh the lack of HW decoding at the moment. Assuming your CPU usage is decent (within tolerable range), I would suggest running your cameras...

I have several of these cameras and they work great. The low light is so good I run them in color/daytime mode with NO IR at night time.

So you make a good point here. I had been checking the CPU usage while using the BI console and it shows around 50%. If I close the BI console and then use just my iOS app, it shows around 35%. Which is a much better number.

I just updated to 4.6.9.4. and h.265 is still not working.

Thanks pcunite. I'll run through the suggestions and see if I can't get my CPU usage down. I'm also hoping that the h265 Hardware decode will help as well, once it is working correctly.

WOW, only 2%. That is crazy. I have an i5-7500, with 4 x 4MP (h265) IPcams and one 2MP (h264) Doorbell cam. My system is running at 50% CPU load. I even have them all set to record direct to disc. I must be doing something wrong if you only have a load of 2%.

Fair enough. All cameras working fine after changing the setting to No. CPU usage is the same as before, so I didn't really see an improvement with this new implementation of H.265 in Blue Iris. FYI, I have a i5-7500 CPU.

I had 5 Hikvision cameras all working with H.265 prior to this update and now they all show no signal. If I change the setting on the actual camera it self to do H.264, they work fine. Also, if I change the blue iris settings for the camera for H.264 HW Decode = YES to NO, the H.265 stream will...
