    Review-OEM 4mp AI Cam IPC-T5442TM-AS Starlight+

Try turning "Smart Codec" off. It may create some trouble from my experience.

Simple Dahua bullet cam 50mm vari-focal mod longe range zoom

I see, can I say all/most of Dahua cameras are using M12 mount? I was thinking whether I can replace the lens of 8mp camera with this 4mp varifocal lens, does it really matter to use the same resolution? Thanks!

    IPC-T5442TM-AS , IPC-T5442T-ZE Latest new Firmware Volt V2.800.0000000.17.R.200620

How is the IVS working? Im using the IPC-T5442TM-AS 6MM with 0620 FW, and the SMD totally messed up, it kept capturing the false video, some of the clips size went up to over 100Mb with nothing(no human, no vehicle). I also tried IVS and the results were almost the same as it couldn't pick up...

    CPU running at 100%?

I previously setup 5 of my 8 cameras using Deepstack AI and AI tool, my CPU usage jumped from 20% to 99%, mostly over 96%, so I disabled all the AI cameras and DeepStack AI/Tool, the CPU usage went back to normal, 18%-21%, I don't know what the issue is, maybe my computer is not new enough, I'm...

First time camera user, IPC-T2431T-AS initial questions

I reset the camera again and this time I didn't change NIC1's setting, instead, I changed NIC2's ip setting, when restarting the camera and setting NIC2's ip to match the camera's ip, this time I can login with the password I just changed. I don't know what I did was secure enough or...

First time camera user, IPC-T2431T-AS initial questions

I was looking at the cliff note and made some changes. I reset my camera and changed NIC1(on board)'s ip address to 192.168.1.100, I can see the web page with user name and password, after changing the password and some initial settings, I can see the live view, that was great! I changed camera...

First time camera user, IPC-T2431T-AS initial questions

I used wireshark and get a lot of messages asking "who is 192.168.132.1? ", 192.168.132.1 is my router's ip address and it seems that my camera's ip(192.168.132.125) doesn't know who it is. So I think my issue should be ip address assignment or setup, but as a newbie I have very limited...

First time camera user, IPC-T2431T-AS initial questions

Yeah reset is my next step if I still can't find the solution, when you say "single PC with a static IP address", do you mean I need to unplug the cable between router and computer? I currently don't have a separate 12v power source, but that is a good suggestion in case my poe switch is not...

First time camera user, IPC-T2431T-AS initial questions

I setup the NIC ip to 192.168.200.1 based on the link you sent to me, and was trying to set camera ip to 192.168.200.x, but it will not allow me to change. The 192.168.132.x is my main router's IPs, before changing my NIC ip, I intended to use that ip but it said password error. I haven't...

I ping the ip but all 4 tries failed, it seems that there is some more setup needed.
