Mini PTZ 2nd Gen: 2016 PTZ Camera of the year!

Good to know there's someone willing to be the first ;) At least you have all the possible OS's there so you won't waste your money on different platforms. Any update on this?

Mini PTZ 2nd Gen: 2016 PTZ Camera of the year!

I've tried several times. First I asked about Mac compliance and ONVIF version. The answer was simply: "Our camera have not Apple Mac." Mmmkay. Second time I wanted some clarification on that Apple Mac havin' and it was: "Our camera work not with Mac". Fair enough. Finally there was also an...

Mini PTZ 2nd Gen: 2016 PTZ Camera of the year!

The price doubled overnight?: http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/HUISUN-2-MP-10-X-Optical-zoom-bullet-PTZ-Camera-waterproof-CCTV-Camera/1248007_32422873465.html Cannot find all the models either so I guess they are really partying New Year's while products out of stock. Few days back the...

Mini PTZ 2nd Gen: 2016 PTZ Camera of the year!

The ones that own this Mini PTZ... is it possible for you to check the ONVIF version? Or is it just possible for the manufacturer? Just checking the Mac / SecuritySpy compatibility (as per software developers instrucions).

4G/LTE connection and NVR for 4mp Hikvision?

Ok, thank you! It seems that it's an ongoing issue with someone else as well (latest post on this PTZ-preset issue was today). The best part of this (from my point of view) is that the software developer is active on problem solving. I received also an email from (answered less than 12hrs)...

4G/LTE connection and NVR for 4mp Hikvision?

I agree that the Mini PTZ would be the best thing compared to a static view but as I understood there might be problems with connecting / using in Mac OS X environment. Correct me if I'm wrong. SecuritySpy NVR software does not mention even one supported Huisun camera so I guess I'm out of luck...

4G/LTE connection and NVR for 4mp Hikvision?

Thanks (4th time I guess :) ... but I will accept that pitfall at this point since it's cheap and simple. If the system proves to be unstable due to the switch - I'll switch the switch later. 4 PoEs is enough for now and most probably will be enough for my ip-cam use, which is more or less for...

4G/LTE connection and NVR for 4mp Hikvision?

Ok, thank you again aster1x! I think I'll be building this system on SecuritySpy software and Mac Mini. I was also recommended to get the D-Link PoE switch: http://www.dlink.com/uk/en/business-solutions/switching/unmanaged-switches/desktop/dgs-1008p-8-port-gigabit-poe-unmanaged-switch And why...

4G/LTE connection and NVR for 4mp Hikvision?

Thanks aster1x, those are valid points you made! I already forgot the golden era of mini-hifi systems and when the cassette player broke you had to buy a whole new system one more time... just to reflect this situation now. Just went ahead with simplest, latest and shiniest. Well what would be...

4G/LTE connection and NVR for 4mp Hikvision?

Well that's not the case here in Finland. It's possible even on regular 4G subscription and if you want a static IP 4G subscription it's going to be around 5 usd pet month. That problem set aside, do you have any other input?

4G/LTE connection and NVR for 4mp Hikvision?

Hi, I finally made up my mind after a lot of googling and reading - chose the following product from Hikvision, times three: http://overseas.hikvision.com/en/Products_accessries_157_i5608.html Next step is to find a suitable NVR. My thoughts are that it "should" be Hikvision also since they...

    Considering buying Dahua equipment

Thanks for the tip! I actually could find easily a few online stores in Europe that will deliver genuine Hikvision with a reasonable price. So the journey continues with models and codes :) ---- For mods: If you consider this post as irrelevant or annoying or whatever just delete it. Perhaps...

    Considering buying Dahua equipment

Not necessarily. Just that I spent hours and hours of understanding the differences between different models and model codes ... and the Hikvision product codes are just as confusing. So perhaps I chose Dahua because I wouldn't want to go through that all over again. Aren't they almost the same...
