Not a movie, although I get why you said that. CPU sits at 15%, cameras run on a seperate network, and I have plenty of space. I just have the capability to record at 30fps, so why not.
This is not the case as my Main Stream is set to 30fps and my Sub is set to 20fps. I also tried setting mine to 5fps for the Sub Stream, which the setting stayed and BI shows streaming at 5fps. This kind of sounds like a firmware issue. Have you tried upgrading or downgrading the firmware to see...
For those that are interested and struggling with this, I just got this working with my Amcrest camera. This works with 24/7 recording and alerts, in my case MMS to our phones.

I am curious what version of dahua firmware everyone is using currently. I tried DH_IPC-HX25(8)XX-Molec_MultiLang_NP_V2.800.0000000.24.R.201014, but the cameras were constantly trying to call out to the web generating alot of traffic. I do not allow my cameras out to the web, but I did notice...
Dahua does have NTP settings, but do not recall if Amcrest did...I would imagine so. Try checking this location:
Setting>System>General>Date & Time
That is the location for Dahua firmware at least.

To remove the Amcrest logo do the following:
Setup>Camera>Video>Overlay>Logo Overlay>Disable>Save
If Dahua firmware is flashed before removing the Amcrest logo, I had a hard time removing it. Here is what I did to finally remove the logo:
