Update: I realized that all the available controls on this camera can also be accessed through ONVIF Device Manager ONVIF Device Manager so configuration can be done without needing MSIE at all.

They do seem to find some interesting characters to deliver. If instead of your front door, the Amazon-controlled wifi lock is just on a package storage bin sitting outside your front door, or even on a garden shed I think that could make sense.
