    Not that I can think of. You would need a second camera with zoom for better plate reads. At least thats what I have read last time I looked into this. A real shame that they are only just starting dual purpose cameras.

    Depending on how rural, you might even be able to work with the local officer(s) and combine resources. The more rural the more likely as they will have more time and likely also have trail cams etc.

    BLE MAC. Not all vehicles will broadcast it when out of pairing mode, and a select number may randomize them, but they can be tracked. Although not sure on FCC regulations, I know that it is tracked in AU and some LE use it.
