Amcrest AD410 gives up ringing the chime after a year - best options?

It looks like the exact battery is unobtanium and so a close match must be find and a control board desoldered and resoldered. Knowing my luck..... It looks like Chinese wholesale might have some, waiting on minimum order quantity, it sure is not going to be 1 :)

Amcrest AD410 gives up ringing the chime after a year - best options?

Hi, my Amcrest AD410 was working fine for a year, 24VAC 40A supply, chime unit in electronic chime, good wifi connection. App on phone still works and Blue Iris sees the video, but the electronic chime has stopped responding to button presses from visitors - kind of the whole point of a...

    NSC-DB2 lost mechanical chime

Still on firmware supplied by Nelly, forgot to say that is 200321, supplied by Nelly support. They also sent a new, updated looking, power kit that made no difference.

    NSC-DB2 lost mechanical chime

Thanks David, that is a very informative and very long post. I did the power off, press and hold reset, power on and did have to set everything up again. I used the EZVIZ app this time, on Android. I noted that once the bell was recognized, if I pressed the button, I got a nice loud chime at...

    NSC-DB2 lost mechanical chime

Hi All, I have been running a Nelly Security NSC-DB2 quite successfully for three years with BI. Recently, after a PGE outage, it no longer rings the mechanical chime inside the house. Camera still woks fine, although the unit gets quite warm to the touch. I have been emailing Nelly's support...

    Swapping external lights for cameras?

I guess I am going to get shot down in flames for this question, but I got to try. A bit of a newbie to all this security camera stuff, I have a pc running Blue Iris and I ran a couple of cables down the outside of the house to put two cameras at the front of our two story house, and it was a...

    Improving security

So this is not good then, right? None of these are my IP, all are now permanently blocked, and I will watch for new ones arriving here. Other ones then start popping up as connections. I deactivated the web server, I can live without access on my cell phone for a bit while I research this.

    Improving security

UPnp is off in the router, and in the cameras, as are all other obvious leaky connections. Noticed that the cameras were moving while I was in BI, almost as if someone was there hopping from one to the next and using the PTZ controls. Interestingly, found an "anonymous" username setup in BI...

    Improving security

I am a little freaked to see that my PTZ wifi cameras will re-orient themselves back to facing the room and occupants if I aim them at the wall or ceiling. Pretty sure there are no pre-programmed routes in the cameras, and if rotate the body, they will still turn around the camera to face the...
