    tftp update - econt_Vision-AV2000 error (7716 NVR)

That is not what this post was about when I made it several years ago. It allowed recovery of a corrupted login database, and was specific to SP model NVRs running older firmware. If your unit is running older firmware, an older version of SADP couple with an online Hikvision password reset...

Access live stream from camera direct, through HIKVision NVR?

The gateway is set correctly on the cameras but router is certainly not set with any static routes to direct traffic to the NVR interface so that makes sense. That’s not something that would ever be done out of the box except in cases of OP where he explicitly has a need for direct access...

Access live stream from camera direct, through HIKVision NVR?

I have an I series unit and this does not work. Not pingable, scannable, or reachable in any capacity and cameras are all on 192.168.254.0/24. I’ve never know this to work either. But even if that were the case a client computer is not going to be able to reach a device on another subnet unless...

Access live stream from camera direct, through HIKVision NVR?

I meant in the sense of taking one port from one device and both forwarding and remapping it to a different port on the NVR. As that’s exactly what it does from the end user perspective. Underneath I have no clue. iVMS is always looking for port 8000 (or whatever you have your SDK port set to)...

Access live stream from camera direct, through HIKVision NVR?

Outside of iVMS you can directly stream via the RTSP streaming URL but that is not something that would work within iVMS. If you are trying to break out individual cameras on the PoE side of the network and treat them as independent camera hosts on the main network, that will not work over the...

Hello from Ohio! Seeking an opinion inside.....

Hello from Toledo :) As mentioned above, Nelly’s is a great resource for both sales and support/customer service. I’ve used them in the past and the few times I reached out they were courteous and helpful. With the exception of the PTZ, all of the “NSC” labeled hardware is white label...

HIKvision DS-2CD2185FWD-I-2.8mm does not record on line crossing

Interesting. I don’t risk it because I don’t want to accidentally brick a unit but generally each firmware has a 3 digit model code with which you can use to verify compatibility. A Q4 unit for example has a board ID of K74. I2 and K2 both have board IDs of K51, hence why people saw the firmware...

HIKvision DS-2CD2185FWD-I-2.8mm does not record on line crossing

Hikvision didn’t permit downgrading last time I checked. It’s been a few years but that’s not surprising. If there are 4 settings in you config, 3 can’t use them so it’s procedural to clear them out.

HIKvision DS-2CD2185FWD-I-2.8mm does not record on line crossing

Sorry, didn’t scroll up high enough! V4 K series had different file sizes, hashes, and time stamps from those on I series. They are not identical firmware. With that being said, K series is less powerful and cheaper than I series, which likely explains why it took them so long to release V4 and...

HIKvision DS-2CD2185FWD-I-2.8mm does not record on line crossing

A few things I want to add more as just general info: - I’ve found on multiple occasions the NVR GUI does not accurately report settings from cameras. Dial into camera directly and it’s correct. Newer and older firmware alike - K series NVRs do have a version 4 firmware that is available if...

    Hikvision Camera Availability

I recently purchased a batch of about 50 4MP chinese converted turrets from a seller on eBay. I reached out to my existing sellers as well and they seemed to have gone silent. Here was the vendor I used. Cameras work like any other. No issues working with US based NVRs (E series, K series, Q...

    Hikvision 4K IP Turret playback

I’ve found the NVRs to still report FPS rates higher than what a camera supports. It’s a phantom option. If you select it, it should kick back with a parameter error. “Full frame rate” will give you the highest rate supported by the camera. You can’t extract a higher frame rate than what the...

    Hikvision 4K IP Turret playback

What model are you using? 2385s? Those are 20FPS, not 30. https://www.hikvision.com/en/Products/Network-Camera/EasyIP-3.0/8MP/DS-2CD2385FWD-I Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Hikvision 4K IP Turret playback

I haven’t bothered with the USA firmware site in years. The versions were inconsistent with the other region sites and I started receiving devices running firmware newer than what they even offered, so I canned it. UK is my go-to now and it is the same exact firmware. As far as the V4 changes...

    Hikvision 4K IP Turret playback

The latest firmware for I series NVRs is 4.0.21.008 which changes the onboard GUI interface, a completely retooled PC plugin (it’s no longer called web components) and other general improvements. (Compared to what you have now) Maybe worth a try...
