    Win10 vs WinServer

I'm running a R730xd server (enterprise server hardware), and installed windows 10 pro just to avoid licensing cost. No issues with the setup. If you're really concerned, look at windows 10 2019 LTSC and HWID activation

    Cameras lock up upon motion

Your CPU doesn't support QuickSync video, so that driver won't do anything for you. If you're using a NVidia card for acceleration (sounds like you are because you have errors for nvdec), I would look into setting it to TCC (Tesla Compute Cluster) mode instead of WDDM. TCC mode is only available...

    Help with processor recommendations

I think Cuda can be very power efficent for large systems, provided you are using reasonable GPUs instead of GTX gaming GPUs. Look at Quadro P600 or P1000 cards. I have a BlueIris system processing almost 4700MP/s using 3 Quadro P1000 GPUs. I am consuming under 400w for my system, but I have...

    Intel Driver Availability

I'm currently using a NVidia quadro P1000 with blueiris. Couldn't be happier with the experience. Just FYI, NVidia locks the number of concurrent nvdec and nvenc sessions to 2, but quick googling will lead to a workaround for that. Quadro P1000 is a half-height, single slot GPU that is rated to...

Help me spend some money specing out a 48 camera Blue Iris server and storage

I currently run a 34-camera blueiris system on a Dell R730xd server. I chose the server to be able to support 48 cameras, I should have another 5 cameras online within the next month and I can tell you what the CPU usage is then. Currently it is between 50 and 60%, running around 2800 mp/s...
