    How do you all watch Dahua cams on your tv's

    Do you guys use any other devices other than a TV as a dedicated monitor? I tried using a tablet with gDMSS but it was a power and memory hog that would crash the tablet after a while. I'm looking for a solution to fit on a kitchen counter with no ethernet port, maybe at best a powerline...

    Buying a new house.....

    I have good street lighting in front of my house along with my porch lights. I keep my front yard cameras in color mode all the time. Even though the IR is great, the low light capability helps the color mode at night. The side and backyard cameras switch automatically to IR.

    I've ordered two on February 20th and haven't gotten my shipments yet, but I certainly expect to be on this one. They'll be my final two after ordering my NVR and first in December and two addition mini-domes for the doors.

    I just tested this out with mine. I guess I never thought of doing "corridor mode" but it makes sense. I preferred the symmetry of it being in normal, though. Let me know if you figure out how to get the correct aspect ratio on the viewers. The aspect ratio looks very off when stretched that way.

    Holy crap, your router looks like a ninja star, lol. Thanks for the help, guys. I'm reading up on nayr's NVR thread, too. Networking isn't my best. I'd hardwire it all into the NVR if I could but that job is looking difficult.

    Hm. If I can't do the attic, I might have to upgrade to that fanless version then. And if I understand this correctly, I'll have to manually search the IPs for the POE-switch connected cameras for the NVR to recognize them.
