    R0 / DS-2CD2x32 BrickfixV2 brick recovery and full upgrade tool - enhanced.

Incredible! I just tried that and of course it worked. I'm sure I tried to do that originally, thinking it would work, but for some reason the camera didn't pick the digicap.dav file off of the TFTP server. This time it did though, and it's let me start from scratch. You're an absolute star...

    R0 / DS-2CD2x32 BrickfixV2 brick recovery and full upgrade tool - enhanced.

I officially love @alastairstevenson Thought I'd do my friend a favour and upgrade the firmware on his cameras because it was out of date. He didn't tell me they were grey imports (not even sure he knew, he bought them from a UK supplier). Naturally all 4 were bricked. If it hadn't been for...

    Face detection option missing

Reading the manual it does mention face detection in general terms, but not specifics about how or where to configure it. There is no option anywhere that I can see via iVMS-4200 Remote Configuration, or via the web interface for the camera.

    Face detection option missing

Many thanks for the fast reply. You're right, I guess it isn't a feature after all. :( Out of interest would you recommend resetting the cameras to factory settings (all settings?) after a firmware upgrade?

    Face detection option missing

Hi, I've got 5 new Hikvision DS-2CD2T42WD-I5 cameras, UK spec. I have upgraded the firmware on all of them to 5.4.5 Build 170124 (I believe they came with 5.4.3 Build 160902). I have been led to believe that these cameras support "face detection".. I'm sure I saw a spec sheet that said this...

Spiders, webs and motion - ARGH

Has anyone got a reliable solution for spiders and webs that seem to end up on any camera with integrated IR lighting? Friend has 4 cameras set up, and has been washing them when it has got particularly bad, but they always come back. Makes sense - the flies are attracted to it, so the spiders...

    UK price £53.05 / US price $59.99 ??

He's been trying to buy it using the link in the Blue Iris 4 application splash screen (where it tells you how many days are left in evaluation, etc). This is the page he ultimately gets taken to: As you can none of the addons are in the cart. Those just add even more to the price.

Thought so at first, but $59.95 is just under £41 according to current exchange rates. :(

    UK price £53.05 / US price $59.99 ??

Hi, I convinced a friend to buy Blue Iris, but when we came to purchase the licence he was shocked to find that instead of it being $59.99 (roughly £38) it was asking him to pay £53.05 instead. Is this a mistake? Are there any promotional codes available at the moment? He is very keen to...

New user, strange problems (alert video jumping, pausing for several seconds)

Not possible without cloning, or not possible period?

New user, strange problems (alert video jumping, pausing for several seconds)

Thanks, am at work at the moment so will do this all later. Is it possible to have a continuous record of X FPS and X quality, and a triggered record of Y FPS and Y quality - without cloning cameras? It's likely he would want a low framerate for the continous recording, with a near real time...

New user, strange problems (alert video jumping, pausing for several seconds)

Hi, I'm setting up Blue Iris for a friend, he has 4 Hikvision IP cameras. So far I've installed the trial version of the software and got it set up to record on motion detection, and send an email with 4 images in that are spaced 2 seconds apart. The motion detection aspect of it is working...

Hikvision POE LAN segment - access to cameras without virtual host or extra wiring.

Re: Hikvision POE LAN segment - access to cameras without virtual host or extra wirin I'm essentially evaluating offloading the motion detection (or the whole NVR) to a secondary device. In my experience thus far the motion detection on the NVR/cameras has been pretty unreliable - catching...
