New Amcrest AD410 doorbell Cam Review

Regarding #3, I prefer to use Blue Iris motion detection and deepstack AI for trigger events the same as with my other cameras. You don't have to rely on Amcrest's built in software.

Yes I run blue iris for my recording software and detected no issues after upgrade. I'm not doing anything super fancy other than streaming to BI though.

    Fora app support

It looks like tons of forums are switching away from supporting Tapatalk to the Fora app. Is there a likelihood that IP Cam Talk will follow the trend? I think it would be a good move.

Good point on it being a reactive change. Yes so far functionality and performance is the same and all the settings tweaks I made under the prior version have remained in place. I haven't done extensive changes through the API though so your mileage may vary.

I just upgraded to the latest August firmware. I'm happy they are being proactive about the battery overheat issue. We'll see if this one lasts past next summer.

That's why we mess with this one. As soon as something that is wireless and onvif compatible comes out that is better, I'll jump on it.

Have you been able to get 2 way comms going through Blue Iris or other onvif protocol compatible software on the reolink?

Don't have the silhouette file anymore but the calipers are saying about 19.5 to 19.75mm OD. It ended up very close to but not overlapping the IR bulbs on each side. I would err on having a little less OD. It's more important that the barrier covers the edge of the main lense.

Well shoot, my apologies if I brought the bad luck. I was on a high from fixing the night vision issue followed by the low of having the battery and power supply fail.

I was also thinking about the potential fire hazard and it does worry me some.

If you happen to locate a source for these, I wouldn't mind trying to swap this bad one and see if it will fire up my old camera again. I have a feeling the power supply might be done though.

Sure thing. Good idea to preemptively replace it.

Agreed, and having a black case with the sun hitting it probably ups that temp over the limits for part of the day. This might be an argument for white cased doorbells in my future.

New Amcrest AD410 doorbell Cam Review

Just had my camera go offline yesterday and found a perplexing issue when I went through troubleshooting. The case had peeled open at the bottom and I could not get it to respond with any power source, USB or transformer. I thought maybe the kids had hit it with a ball or something. I decided...

New Amcrest AD410 doorbell Cam Review

Yes when I purchased, all the reviews on returned units said that the 2nd and 3rd units they got back were still flawed so I didn't bother risking sending it back and getting another bad one. I just lived with it until I finally found this thread. I'm satisfied with the hack job until the next...
