Answered myself by trying out. The 2-wire pins can be used with a 12V DC supply :) -

@AlbertoIt, may I ask you how did you connect the 12V supply to the VTO2202F-P? I'm asking because I currently don't have a PoE switch at hand, but would like to try out the VTO already. Did you probably use the 2-wire pins?
