If your crash happens in playback try my fix posted here: SmartPSS crashes on any playback For me SmartPSS only crashed in playback (live view was OK). Uninstall + start fresh with new configuration worked. (You can restore "devices" xml file though)

Cmos are you accessing NVR webpage using remote IP address and port? Or internally via same network. The camera configuration webpage link never worked for me remotely. Only if I connect to same network.

https://files.dahua.support/Firmware/Rejestratory/NVR/NVR5xxx-4KS2/ Still there is a bug in this release. If you access the NVR from remote IP you cannot open the camera configuration webpage links. They try to open the internal ip address.

This firmware is good. Fixes the webpage live view camera problem with security certificates and plugins. Now I can see cameras live webview in Chrome browser no plugin no certificate install.
