Try setting your camera IP address ( network ) from DHCP to STATIC for starters, by doing so you'll have a permanent address. If the camera keeps disconnecting make sure you have poe switch that can support your camera or 12v power adapter. Try a different port or ethernet cable like you mentioned.
A short circuit is where you apply a temporary thin wire to make contact at the IP camera circuit board to reset the camera. Attached is a detailed info on how exactly to reset your camera.

Even if the NVR isn’t Poe, IP cameras will sync when settings are applied. Don’t forget to apply and save settings for the changes to be in effect.

I got the same camera you have that I placed on sides of the house that are blind spots facing east & west from each other. Great picture and sound overall. Best bang for your money.

Here’s another quick alternative to repairing the RJ45 jack. Doesn’t require any special tools. You’ll just have to use electrical tape for a waterproof connection if it’s going in a junction box outdoor.
I have used these before and it’s been nearly 2 years since I last used one and my camera...
Yes you can use an 8 wire jack the remaining are not used. Lol I’m driving check out the video. You’ll get a good idea of how to repair.

How’s that camera working overall with the Hikvision firmware? I too am thinking of buying this exact camera and do the firmware upgrade/switch to Hikvision.

You can try something similar to these model # DS-2CD2385FWD-1 for the turret 8mp/4K and for the fisheye DS-2CD63C2F-I. Hikvision has a different body but same exact features as the LTS model CMIP7562NF-SSE ( 6.3 mp )

Does the camera have a SD card to insert if so, there may be a reset button there. Also some camera’s have an internal button where you have to take apart for access. Check user manual.
