Lorex LNB8005B-C and Dahua firmware (Solved with instructions)

I was asking if you remembered to turn off the TFTP server immediately after the update or it will result in it trying the update again. From the message posted, it looks like the camera and firmware are incompatible. The current Dahua one you are on is the best I've tried. Not sure what...

Lorex LNB8005B-C and Dahua firmware (Solved with instructions)

You need two networks. The camera will set it's own IP address on the network 192.168.1.1/24. You set the server IP 192.168.254.254 on network 192.168.254.1/24. Your router will route between them.

Lorex LNB8005B-C and Dahua firmware (Solved with instructions)

Camera needs to be on 192.168.1.1 and server on 192.168.254.254 I do not think you can do it without a router. The camera will look to the default gateway and it will not know where to send the traffic.

Lorex LNB8005B-C and Dahua firmware (Solved with instructions)

Version V2.800.0000018.0.R is where they are now but IIRC, I started with either 2.4x or 2.6x via TFTP and then used the GUI. I'll need to go back to my lab and find all the files I used. They are showing up as IPC-HFW4830E-S after the first update.

Lorex LNB8005B-C and Dahua firmware (Solved with instructions)

I was not able to use the Lorex version but have been successful using the Dahua branded. All TFTP functions remain plus now I can use the web browser and Dahua Config Tool to chang firmware as well.

Lorex LNB8005B-C and Dahua firmware (Solved with instructions)

That's great. I've been asking them for an ONVIF fix for more than a year. They said the firmware I was running was up to date and there was nothing I could do. After scouring the internet for weeks, I was able to find both the Dahua firmware and the necessary support files to fix them. It is...

Lorex LNB8005B-C and Dahua firmware (Solved with instructions)

I was able to finally figure it out with the help of a few different forum members. Thanks! This firmware was the latest I could find that ran without issues but seems to be missing features like IVS, Face Detection, Smart Plan that should be there according to other threads...

    Lorex to Dahua firmware upgrade

Thanks to you and the others before you, I was able to TFTP upgrade the camera to Dahua firmware. I am not 100% sure which firmware is best but at least ONVIF works now.

    Lorex to Dahua firmware upgrade

These are pre-pandemic era cameras. c. 2018-2019 My stumbling block right now is the missing commands.bat file which seems to create the files needed to upgrade

    Lorex to Dahua firmware upgrade

Hate to dig up an old subject but I am in need of upgrading my Lorex LN8005-C cameras to Dahua firmware. The Lorex versions are not very good and ONVIF functionality is hit and mostly miss. I am following this thread but am missing some critical detail. Specifically, what is the commands.bat...
