Thanks for the link looney2ns.
When running BI as a service, this viewer DOES in fact allow you to hear the sound. Odd -- but I'm not questioning success.
Let me add to this... Also no live audio when RDP into BlueIris server. However, I found that this is only the case when running as a Windows service. If you start just the console (no service) I get live volume via RDP.
I ofund this out over a year ago and contacted the developer. Here was...
I've bought two of these cams and have the exact same issue (tilt fail, camera makes grinding noise and stays at 90 degrees tilt).
If you let it go a while (a few hours), it eventually corrects itself and the tilt will start working. But it shouldn't do this at all.
Thinking it was a power...
On the trigger tab, hit the config button next to motion sensor. Should have two sliders for min object and contrast along with a value for min duration. I'd take a pic, but don't have a print screen on this computer.
That's the button. I adjusted the motion sensor setting way down (on trigger tab) in BI and that got it working. Min object and contrast way down and .5 min duration.
I got it working yesterday. There is an on/off checkmark option on the camera's config page (not BI's config, but the camera's config page). Then make sure the trigger setting are appropriate to catch movement -- and autotrack works.
Interesting Bick. I recently got a camera (different model) and the IR cut filter failed within a week. It is a DS-2cd2542fwd-is. One out of there I bought failed. Thinking Hikvision may have a manufacturing issue on some of their newer cams.
Thanks. Looks like that is the only place to get them (in US anyway). Guessing that is why the seller can charge $90 rather than $10-$20 most mounts cost.
