How to create a low humidity environment to put bullet camera back together?

When I did resealing, I put the camera and silica packs into my dehydrator for a few hours. Then reassembled while hot.

Paint my LPR Camera or no?

I used different color spray cans of paint intended for camo. Home depot has them.

    In ground camera placement ideas

It's really not a matter of the lens angle. It's the IR illuminators output cone touching any nearby objects and reflecting back onto the front glass of the camera. That creates halos whenever the IR is on. You can demonstrate this yourself by putting objects within a foot of the camera but just...

    In ground camera placement ideas

Only issue I can think of with the rocks being placed is IR back reflection clouding the image. None of my cameras like anything near their lens unless the object is way off axis. Otherwise, it's halo city when the IR illuminator comes on. I guess you could also go with separate illuminators.

Same form factor as SD1A203T-GN but with better camera?

I replaced one of my SD1A203T-GN with 4MP SD1A404XB-GNR (both from Andy). Definitely a noticeably sharper image in the daytime. Night time performance is a touch less light sensitivity than the 2MP version. It's still a lot better in the dark than a non-starlight, and I can see everything I...

Budget Dahua Cams or china alternatives under $100?

Many thanks for the STL's. I print PETG and polycarbonate here. Should be able to get something to work. That's an elegant looking mounting solution you designed.

Budget Dahua Cams or china alternatives under $100?

Grabbed two of the Amcrests. Thanks for the tips availability and discount code. Flashed to Dahua firmware..... and definitely a lot better optics and sensor than a cheap, old, 6MP Chinese version, hacked English language, Dahua turret. Also, great to have video viewing without plugins. Most of...

Ubiquity EdgeRouter X - Configuring to Isolate Surveillance Networks

Sorry to hear it didn't work. Without actual xboxes here, I'm afraid I won't be of much further help with that.

Modification SD49425XB-HNR 4MP, Add 12 Volt Microphone Power Output

Double check that your resistor, capacitor and wiring are not shorted and fit the space available.

Modification SD49425XB-HNR 4MP, Add 12 Volt Microphone Power Output

Here is the completed wiring to implement what I drew in the schematic overlay. Resistor and capacitor were positioned to fit avoid the very crowed space between board center and camera wire feed. Be sure to observe polarity of your electrolytic capacitor.

Modification SD49425XB-HNR 4MP, Add 12 Volt Microphone Power Output

We tap that power with a 480 ohm resistor to limit current draw. The other end of the resistor feeds power out what is normally the 12 volt DC input. Filtering is performed with a 100 uFd capacitor.

Modification SD49425XB-HNR 4MP, Add 12 Volt Microphone Power Output

Microphone power output mod for a SD49425XB-HNR (running on POE+ power) to provide 12 volt microphone power. Much as I did for the SD49225T-HN, in Modification - SD49225T-HN Add External Microphone Power The resultant power out the DC input jack of about 25 ma powers a Microseven M7WP-MIC. The...

Ubiquity EdgeRouter X - Configuring to Isolate Surveillance Networks

You correctly understand the config changes made re UPNP2. I'm surprised that one would also need the additional port rules, but you would put accept rules for those ports from eth3 in the restrict_LANs_In rules, right after the Prevent Access of Protected LANS rule.
