We’ve all been baffled and infuriated by the size of a mechanics bill, but Canadian Daniel Sheikhan has the video evidence to justify it.

Shekhan left his dash cam on while his Mercedes Benz was being serviced in Toronto, capturing his mechanics failing to service the car in the 11 minutes it was on a hoist, then taking it out for an ice cream run.

Sheikhan’s anger was palpable in his caption on the video: “Paid Over $700 for transmission service and it wasn’t even done! Car was on the hoist for 11 minutes! And charges for over 90 minutes labour!!”

On the front and rear dash cam, two staff members were recorded asking fellow staff if they wanted any ice cream before taking Sheikhan’s 2010 S-63 AMG, which retailed for $US134,425 when it was released, for a spin to a Wendy’s Ice Cream drive through.

A manager called the pair while they were waiting for their ice cream, with the driver saying he was “road testing” the car.

Later, the camera picks up the mechanics laughing after the manager tells them that Sheikhan had bought the parts required for the service, placing them in the boot for the mechanic to use.

The mechanic admitted he didn’t read the work order, then complained to his passenger.

“You’d think this guy has f---ing money,” he said of Sheikhan.

“The fu-—ing richer they are, the cheaper they are.”

Before Sheikhan picked up the car, the mechanic takes the car through a car wash then inexplicably drives it around in circles around the car yard.
