    Emergency Power/Storms/Prepping etc

Got some 1000 grid sanding disks, making some progress at the logos. I think I need to go with 500 grit though, its taking too many passes

Now to install the block heater, for that I need to remove the 1 inch plug above. I scraped the paint off the threads and sprayed PB Blaster and worked on it, eventually after doing that 10 times, it came free Flushed twice with distilled water and re-filled with coolant

Alrighty, light tower progress New air filter Got new coolant, going to flush the coolant and replace the leaking coolant drain petcock on the engine block Did NOT go as planned I worked at it with an EZ-Out, but the metal of the coolant drain was completely corroded and just...

    Emergency Power/Storms/Prepping etc

Pretty basic idea, but this is my plan for a roof leak during a storm. Just a 5 gallon bucket with a hosebib attached. I can run run a hose out to drain somewhere and not have to rush to fix or constantly swap buckets

Camera in hot Texas attic? Will it last?

I'm looking to get a camera and aim it at my water heater and AC in the attic, so I can see LED error codes, and any leaks Do you think a camera will survive the heat?

Easier for the next guy, ignore my horrible spray job. It will do... Got the junction box and block heater switch in place for the 120v inlet

The oxidation came right off with the compound, but the paint is just so faded I need to go a bit deeper I would love to change the color, but I suspect that might end up costing more than the generator. Doing a nice dark green or grey would be awesome

Your way would be better for around the lights and bolts though, I have not yet figured out how I'll get around those done My main thing is trying to get rid of the logos, as long as it can blend somewhat, I'll be happy

    Emergency Power/Storms/Prepping etc

I really have no desire to take it all apart, that would make it something I have to get done. Maybe if I had a spare garage bay it would work If I do it on the machine, I can do section at a time as I have the time, between work etc

    Emergency Power/Storms/Prepping etc

Hope you guys like reading about this light tower, because its all I'm going to post for the coming year. Got some compound and tried to get rid of the sunbelt logo, and it did good but took too many passes. I am going to look for some 2000 and 3000 grit sanding disks so I can go a bit deeper, a...

    Emergency Power/Storms/Prepping etc

Yeah for $14 thats a no brainer The old owner added the meters, but the wiring could have been better, hopefully he doesn't find this thread :D The wires were not very tight in the meters, and the hot side was wired to the wrong side of the 240v breaker, so if it ever came loose, it would be...

Adjusted the engine speed, made VEERRRYYY small adjustments Went to 61.4hz no load, makes it exactly 60.0 at 3000w, voltage was 120v. PERFECT! Put my labels on the control panel More rust gone, seems like the factory black finish just didn't hold up at all Its so hot out I just do a...
