    Windows 2008 R2 error 0xc000007b on BI5 install

As far as I can tell from older posts, it should be possible to run BI5 on fully patched 2008 R2 but after multiple tries with visual studio installs, following recommendations on older posts, and trying early installers I've got no dice. I've tried using proc mon too but I'm not sure of all the...

Why are my gigabit NIC's only doing 100mb?

Yup I had them send the spec sheets and I also have 16-ports deployed in other spots performing as they should.

Damn, what a great link, thank you.

Why are my gigabit NIC's only doing 100mb?

Update: Annke support has been pretty great. Aside from waiting a day for responses since they are based in China, we came to the best possible resolution I think. The total cost of four 8-ports was 200 dollars, they're refunding the full amount and giving a 25% off code for the 16-ports which...

Why are my gigabit NIC's only doing 100mb?

So as it turns out it was certainly the fault of the Annke switches and well Annke themselves. I asked them to send me a spec sheet of the hardware and sure enough, all of the ports are 10/100 even the uplinks. They were called out on it, they're taking responsibility and a resolution is...

Why are my gigabit NIC's only doing 100mb?

Not saying I love CCA but it does work and I've accomplished gigabit speeds at max distance in high temperature environments and they've held up okay too. With that being said the cable used here is of quality for sure. Cat5e 350mhz CMR

Why are my gigabit NIC's only doing 100mb?

My understanding is that only the uplink ports are gigabit and the PoE's are 100megabit. To your second point all extend switches are in the off position.

Why are my gigabit NIC's only doing 100mb?

RIght on. That's the kind of stuff I'm looking to access on a web interface. The trendnet "surveillance grade" switches have some pretty nice features baked in but the price is kind of high. Might be worth it for peace of mind though

Why are my gigabit NIC's only doing 100mb?

After this kind of experience, I'd like to just have managed everything given the scale of these systems and that there will be more deployments at remote locations states away. I'd like to have as much information as I can get about the status of the network.

Why are my gigabit NIC's only doing 100mb?

So I am using generic switches with the Annke branding on them. For prices of them I figured they were worth a shot with their return policy after I saw them function well at deployment #1 I figured I'd put them in #2 as well. Could you rephrase you last question please?

Why are my gigabit NIC's only doing 100mb?

Update: At this point, my gut is telling me it is likely a fault of the router. I'm ordering a Ubiquiti ER-X in the coming days to see if it makes a difference and possibly different switches to follow if that doesn't cut it. They aren't of great quality if I'm being honest but since they worked...

Why are my gigabit NIC's only doing 100mb?

All it takes is cat5e or better to do gigabit and since there are only 3 feet of distance between the router and desktop so that does suffice.

Why are my gigabit NIC's only doing 100mb?

I have tried both. In the router interface and windows adapter properties, it does auto negotiate to 1 gigabit. Forcing negotiation doesn't stop operations but it's still capped at 99 megabit. What do you think about getting another dummy gigabit switch over there and plugging all devices into...

Why are my gigabit NIC's only doing 100mb?

There is no non-camera traffic at either location. The camera networks go through an offline router, the TP-Link.

Why are my gigabit NIC's only doing 100mb?

Well yeah, they go through the router I have 3 spaced-out switches and if that was the reason for packet loss why don't I have packet loss on the other? Inconsistent framerates and bitrates are low quality video. Seeing a person walking and then seeing them skip 3 feet further is a quality...
